Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AMYL-00w is a preclinical-stage monoclonal antibody being developed by Amyl Therapeutics for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. It is generated using the company's proprietary Pan-Amyloid Immunotherapy (PAI) platform, which targets the common cross-beta sheet structure found in various misfolded protein aggregates. AMYL-00w specifically targets both Amyloid-beta (Aβ) and Tau protein aggregates, facilitating their clearance from the central nervous system. The antibody is engineered for enhanced brain penetration and is designed to minimize the risk of Amyloid-Related Imaging Abnormalities (ARIA), a significant safety concern associated with first-generation amyloid-targeting therapies.
