Overview

**Anamu-SC + P2Et** is a combination of two standardized plant-derived extracts: Anamu-SC, derived from Petiveria alliacea (commonly known as "anamu" or "guinea henweed"), and P2Et, a polyphenol-rich extract from Caesalpinia spinosa. Both extracts have demonstrated anticancer properties in preclinical models. Anamu-SC predominantly exhibits activity via modulation of glycolytic metabolism and mitochondrial function, leading to decreased tumor cell proliferation and viability, especially in myeloid leukemic blasts and certain breast cancer models. P2Et is implicated in inducing immunogenic cell death, caspase activation, inhibition of drug resistance (via P-glycoprotein 1), and activation of multifunctional T lymphocytes, besides exerting antioxidant effects. The combination has shown enhanced antitumor activity in preclinical murine breast cancer models, resulting in reduced tumor growth and macrometastasis, as well as distinct modulation of immune cell subsets such as increased CD8+ T cells and reduced regulatory T cells within the tumor microenvironment. Both are considered potential adjuncts to conventional chemotherapy in leukemia and breast cancer[1][2][5].
