Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ananda Hemp Oil is a botanical cannabidiol (CBD) product developed by the Australian hemp company Ecofibre. Formulated as a low-dose botanical CBD soft gel, it is derived from hemp and contains phytocannabinoids that interact with the endocannabinoid system. The product is primarily being investigated for the treatment of sleep disturbances, including difficulty initiating or maintaining sleep, in healthy volunteers. Clinical research is led by Southern Cross University's National Centre for Naturopathic Medicine and includes large-scale randomised, placebo-controlled trials and pharmacokinetic studies to evaluate its efficacy and safety profile for improving sleep quality.
