anastrozole + letrozole + vinorelbine

This is a combination therapy consisting of two aromatase inhibitors (anastrozole and letrozole) and vinorelbine. The combination has been studied primarily for hormone receptor-positive (HR+)/HER2-negative breast cancer. Aromatase inhibitors work by blocking the enzyme aromatase, which converts anrogens to estrogens in postmenopausal women, thereby reducing estrogen levels that can stimulate hormone-dependent breast cancer growth. Vinorelbine is a chemotherapeutic agent that can be administered orally in a metronomic schedule (low-dose, frequent administration). The combination has shown promising results in terms of anti-proliferative activity and has been well-tolerated in clinical trials. Some research suggests that the combination therapy may also induce immune-related biological processes, opening possibilities for combining it with immunotherapy approaches.
