ANB032

ANB032 is a humanized IgG4/κ monoclonal antibody developed as an agonist of the B and T lymphocyte attenuator (BTLA), a coinhibitory immune checkpoint receptor. It was designed to modulate immune responses by stimulating BTLA, thereby inhibiting T cell proliferation, reducing inflammatory cytokine secretion (including Th1, Th2, Th17, and Th22), and modulating dendritic cell function with induction of regulatory T cells. The drug was primarily investigated for moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (eczema) but failed to meet primary or secondary efficacy endpoints in Phase 2b clinical trials. Despite this lack of efficacy, it demonstrated a favorable safety profile with no significant safety signals observed across all doses studied. Development has been discontinued following these results.
