Overview

ANB101 is a monoclonal antibody that acts as a modulator of BDCA2, a molecule specifically expressed on plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs). By binding to BDCA2, ANB101 potently inhibits interferon secretion and immune activation by pDCs. This mechanism is designed to reduce inflammation while preserving the tolerogenic potential of pDCs. The drug is being developed for the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases where pDC-driven interferon production plays a pathogenic role. ANB101 is currently in Phase 1 clinical trials in healthy volunteers. The program was originally licensed from Centessa Pharmaceuticals and is now being developed by AnaptysBio[1][2][3][5].
