Anbinex

**Anbinex** is a plasma-derived human antithrombin concentrate presented as a lyophilized powder for intravenous infusion in 500 IU and 1000 IU strengths. It functions as a serine protease inhibitor (serpin) that provides approximately 80% of thrombin inhibitory activity and also inactivates activated coagulation factors X, IX, VII, XI, and XII, with its anticoagulant effect significantly enhanced by heparin. Developed and manufactured by Grifols, it is primarily indicated for treating congenital antithrombin deficiency to prevent deep vein thrombosis and thromboembolic events, including perioperatively and postpartum, as well as for acquired antithrombin deficiency in various clinical settings.[1][2][3][5]
