Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ancaine (SCT800) is a recombinant human coagulation factor VIII (rFVIII) developed by Sinocelltech for the treatment and prophylaxis of bleeding in patients with hemophilia A. It is produced using recombinant DNA technology in Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells. As a replacement therapy, it restores the activity of factor VIII, which is deficient or absent in hemophilia A patients, thereby enabling the formation of a stable blood clot. Ancaine was the first domestically developed recombinant factor VIII to be approved in China, receiving marketing authorization from the NMPA in July 2021.
