AND019 is a third-generation, orally administered selective estrogen receptor degrader (SERD) developed for the treatment of estrogen receptor (ER)-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-negative advanced or metastatic breast cancer. It specifically binds to the estrogen receptor in cancer cells and induces a conformational change that leads to ER degradation via the proteasome pathway. This process blocks ER-mediated signaling and inhibits tumor cell proliferation and survival. The drug is designed to overcome resistance and side effects associated with other ER antagonists by efficiently degrading the ER protein. AND019 is currently in Phase 1 clinical trials for postmenopausal women with advanced or metastatic ER-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer[1][3][4][5].
