Overview
The androgenic vaginal ring program developed by Laboratorios Andromaco S.A. consists of investigational sustained-release delivery systems containing dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), testosterone, or a fixed-dose combination of both. These rings are designed for continuous vaginal administration to women with diminished ovarian reserve (DOR). The primary therapeutic goal is to increase local androgen concentrations in the ovarian environment, which is hypothesized to enhance follicular recruitment, increase the antral follicle count (AFC), and improve anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) levels. By optimizing the androgenic microenvironment, the treatment aims to improve the ovarian response to stimulation in women undergoing fertility treatments.
