Andrographis paniculata is a medicinal plant widely used in traditional medicine systems, particularly in Asia, for its purported anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and immunostimulant properties. The primary active constituent is andrographolide. It has been traditionally used to treat infectious diseases and fevers and has been clinically studied for potential roles in the management of the common cold, osteoarthritis, throat infections (pharyngotonsillitis), ulcerative colitis, and hypertriglyceridemia.
