Androskat

Androskat is a combination small molecule drug consisting of papaverine hydrochloride and phentolamine mesylate. It is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction via intracavernosal injection. Papaverine hydrochloride acts as a non-selective phosphodiesterase (PDE) inhibitor and smooth muscle relaxant, while phentolamine mesylate is a non-selective alpha-adrenergic antagonist. Together, these components work synergistically to induce smooth muscle relaxation in the corpus cavernosum and increase arterial blood flow, facilitating a pharmacologically aided erection.
