Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Androvet is an oral dietary supplement developed and marketed by the Spanish pharmaceutical company Laboratorios Q Pharma. It is specifically formulated to support male reproductive health and address male factor infertility associated with oxidative stress. The supplement contains a combination of three key antioxidant components: selenium, lycopene, and vitamin E. Selenium is an essential trace element that acts as a cofactor for glutathione peroxidase enzymes, which are critical for protecting sperm during maturation. Lycopene, a carotenoid, and vitamin E (tocopherol) serve as potent lipophilic antioxidants that scavenge reactive oxygen species, thereby protecting sperm cell membranes and DNA from oxidative damage. By reducing systemic and local oxidative stress, Androvet aims to improve sperm parameters such as motility, morphology, and concentration.
