Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Aneton Cor-Tyzine is a fixed-dose combination nasal spray primarily marketed in Japan for the symptomatic relief of nasal congestion and inflammation. It contains two active pharmaceutical ingredients: tetrahydrozoline hydrochloride and prednisolone. Tetrahydrozoline is a sympathomimetic amine that acts as a potent alpha-adrenergic receptor agonist, inducing vasoconstriction of the nasal mucosal blood vessels to rapidly reduce swelling and congestion. Prednisolone is a synthetic glucocorticoid that provides anti-inflammatory action by suppressing the release of inflammatory mediators and reducing mucosal edema. This combination is indicated for the treatment of rhinitis, allergic rhinitis, and sinusitis, providing both immediate decongestion and longer-term management of the underlying inflammatory response.
