Overview
Anfulong is a recombinant interferon alpha-2b injection developed and manufactured by Tianjin Hualida Biotechnology (also known as Tianjin Sinobioway Biomedicine). As a biologic recombinant protein, it functions as an agonist for the type I interferon receptor (IFNAR) signaling pathway. Binding to IFNAR triggers a signaling cascade that induces the expression of interferon-stimulated genes (ISGs), which mediate potent antiviral, antiproliferative, and immunomodulatory effects. The drug is approved in China for the treatment of chronic viral hepatitis B, chronic viral hepatitis C, hairy cell leukemia, and chronic myelogenous leukemia. It is recognized as a significant product in the Chinese biopharmaceutical market, being the first genetically engineered interferon to receive production approval in the country.
