ANG2010

ANG2010 is a preclinical peptide-drug conjugate (PDC) developed by Angiochem for the treatment of pain. It utilizes Angiochem's proprietary EPiC (Engineered Peptide Compounds) platform, specifically the Angiopep-2 peptide, to facilitate the transport of morphine-6-glucuronide (M6G) across the blood-brain barrier (BBB). M6G is a potent analgesic metabolite of morphine that acts primarily on mu-opioid receptors. By leveraging receptor-mediated transcytosis via the low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 1 (LRP1), ANG2010 is designed to enhance the delivery of the opioid payload into the central nervous system, potentially offering potent analgesia with reduced peripheral side effects.
