Overview

Angel PRP gel is an autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP)-based biotherapy developed by Biotherapy Services Ltd. for the treatment of complex and chronic wounds, such as diabetic foot ulcers. The product is prepared using the Angel™ PRP system, which centrifuges and fractionates a patient's own whole blood to produce concentrated autologous platelet-rich plasma (cPRP). This cPRP is then formulated into a gel for topical application. The therapeutic effect is driven by the release of high concentrations of growth factors and cytokines from the platelets, which stimulate the wound healing cascade, promote tissue regeneration, and accelerate repair in delayed-healing environments. It is currently being evaluated in the Project RAPID (Restorative Autologous Platelet Biotherapies for Injuries & Delayed Wound Healing) clinical trial.
