**Angiopoietin-primed autologous peripheral blood stem cells** are an investigational autologous cell therapy being evaluated for acute myocardial infarction in the MAGIC-CELL-6-PRIMING study. Peripheral blood stem cells are mobilized with granulocyte colony-stimulating factor and erythropoietin, collected by apheresis, then primed ex vivo for one hour with the engineered angiopoietin-1 variant FVA3-Ang1 before intracoronary administration. Angiopoietin-1 priming activates Tie2 signaling and promotes Ets-1-associated endothelial-lineage commitment and adhesion-program induction, including increased integrin alpha4 beta1 and alpha5 beta1 expression, with the goal of improving vascular engraftment, angiogenesis, and myocardial repair after infarction.
