Overview

Angocin is a herbal phytotherapy product developed and marketed by Max Zeller Söhne AG. It consists of a fixed-dose combination of nasturtium herb powder (*Tropaeoli herbae pulvis*) and horseradish root powder (*Armoraciae radicis pulvis*). The therapeutic activity is derived from glucosinolates which, upon ingestion, are converted into isothiocyanates (mustard oils). These compounds exhibit broad-spectrum antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory properties. Angocin is approved in Switzerland as an over-the-counter (OTC) medication for the treatment of acute respiratory infections, including sinusitis and bronchitis, as well as for the management of uncomplicated urinary tract infections such as cystitis.
