Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Anjeso is an intravenous nanocrystal formulation of **meloxicam**, a small-molecule nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug developed by Recro Pharma and later associated with Baudax Bio for hospital acute pain use. It is administered as a once-daily IV bolus injection and is used for the management of moderate-to-severe pain in adults, either alone or with non-NSAID analgesics, particularly in postoperative settings. Pharmacologically, meloxicam acts as a preferential inhibitor of cyclooxygenase-2, reducing prostaglandin synthesis and thereby providing analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects; the nanocrystal IV formulation was designed to improve dissolution and accelerate systemic exposure relative to oral meloxicam.
