Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ANK-104 is an interferon (IFN)-based cytokine therapeutic currently in the discovery stage for the treatment of solid tumors. Developed by Ankyra Therapeutics, the drug utilizes a proprietary "anchored immunotherapy" platform designed to localize the cytokine within the tumor microenvironment. By complexing the IFN with an anchoring agent (typically an aluminum-based scaffold), the therapy is intended for intratumoral administration to ensure high local concentrations and prolonged immune activation while minimizing systemic exposure and the associated toxicities typically seen with systemic interferon delivery. The goal of ANK-104 is to stimulate a robust anti-tumor immune response by activating both innate and adaptive immune pathways directly at the site of the malignancy.
