This combination therapy regimen consists of anlotinib, nab-paclitaxel, and carboplatin. Anlotinib is a small-molecule multi-targeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor that primarily targets VEGFR1-3, FGFR1-4, PDGFRα/β, and c-Kit, exerting potent anti-angiogenic and anti-tumor effects. Nab-paclitaxel is an albumin-bound nanoparticle formulation of paclitaxel that inhibits microtubule dynamics, leading to mitotic arrest and cell death. Carboplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent that forms DNA adducts, interfering with DNA replication and transcription. This specific triplet combination is being evaluated in a Phase II clinical trial (NCT05853328) as a first-line treatment for patients with locally advanced or metastatic SMARCA4-deficient non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), an aggressive subtype with a poor prognosis and limited therapeutic options.
