Overview

Anlotinib + toripalimab is a combination therapy consisting of two distinct agents used primarily in oncology. Anlotinib is a small molecule multi-targeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor that inhibits angiogenesis and tumor cell proliferation by targeting receptors such as VEGFR, FGFR, PDGFR, and c-Kit. Toripalimab is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody that targets the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor on T cells, functioning as an immune checkpoint inhibitor to enhance anti-tumor immune responses. This combination has shown promising efficacy and manageable safety in several cancer types including unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), advanced gastric or gastroesophageal junction carcinoma, metastatic melanoma, advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma (UPS), and extensive-stage small-cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC). The regimen leverages the synergistic effects of antiangiogenic therapy with immunotherapy to improve clinical outcomes[1][3][4][5][6][7].
