Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Anluo Huaxian Pills (Anluo Huaxian Wan) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation approved in China for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B and liver fibrosis. Developed and manufactured by Inner Mongolia Furui Medical Science, the pills are composed of several herbal components, including *Radix Astragali*, *Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae*, *Carapax Trionycis*, and *Radix Notoginseng*. The drug exerts its therapeutic effects through multi-target mechanisms, primarily by inhibiting the activation of hepatic stellate cells (HSCs), downregulating the expression of transforming growth factor-beta 1 (TGF-β1), and promoting the degradation of the extracellular matrix (ECM). Clinical studies have demonstrated its efficacy in improving liver function, reducing liver stiffness, and potentially reversing early-stage liver fibrosis when used alone or in combination with nucleos(t)ide analogues or other TCM regimens.
