Overview

Anmeimubart is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody of the IgG1 kappa isotype that targets the Epithelial Cell Adhesion Molecule (EpCAM, also known as CD326 or TACSTD1). Developed by Shanghai Saiyuan Biotechnology, it is designed to treat EpCAM-expressing malignancies, most notably colorectal cancer. EpCAM is a transmembrane glycoprotein involved in cell-to-cell adhesion, signaling, and the regulation of cell proliferation and differentiation; its overexpression is associated with poor prognosis in several solid tumors. Anmeimubart binds to the extracellular domain of EpCAM, potentially blocking its oncogenic signaling and inducing antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) against tumor cells. It is currently undergoing Phase 2 clinical evaluation in China for advanced colorectal cancer.
