Annona glabra ethanolic extract (AngTE) is a botanical extract derived from the fruits of the *Annona glabra* plant, commonly known as the pond apple. It is characterized by a complex chemical profile containing approximately 114 identified compounds, primarily acetogenins and ent-kaurane diterpenes. Research demonstrates that the extract possesses potent anticancer activity against human cervical cancer (HeLa), prostate adenocarcinoma (PC3), and ovarian adenocarcinoma (SKOV3) cell lines. Its mechanism of action involves the induction of apoptosis and the arrest of the cell cycle in the S phase. Molecular docking studies suggest that its bioactive components interact with Bcl-2 proteins. Furthermore, the extract has been utilized to synthesize silver nanoparticles (Ang-AgNPs), which exhibit enhanced antibacterial and antifungal properties, particularly against *P. aeruginosa* and *E. coli*, and show synergistic effects when combined with gentamicin.
