Overview

Anocovax is India's first indigenous COVID-19 vaccine developed specifically for animals. It is an inactivated SARS-CoV-2 Delta (COVID-19) vaccine that contains inactivated SARS-CoV-2 (Delta) antigen with Alhydrogel as an adjuvant. The immunity induced by Anocovax neutralizes both the Delta and Omicron variants of SARS-CoV-2. It has been deemed safe for use in various animal species, including dogs, lions, leopards, mice, and rabbits. The vaccine was developed by the ICAR-National Research Centre on Equines (NRCE) in Haryana, India.
