Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Anshen Buxin Liuwei Pill (ABLP) is a traditional Mongolian medicinal formula that has therapeutic effects on various cardiovascular conditions and psychological symptoms. It has been shown to protect against cardiac injury by suppressing cell necrosis/apoptosis, reducing excess oxidative stress, ameliorating mitochondrial membrane potential collapse, and reducing intracellular calcium concentration. Research indicates it can reverse H2O2-induced imbalance in the mRNA levels of calcium channel-related genes (DHPR, RyR2, SCN5A) and oxidative stress-related genes (Keap1, Nrf2, HO-1) in cardiac cells.
