Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ansornitinib (ANG-3070) is an orally bioavailable, small molecule multi-kinase inhibitor developed by Angion Biomedica for the treatment of fibrotic diseases. It primarily targets the platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGFR) and fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR) families, which are key mediators in the pathogenesis of fibrosis. The drug was evaluated in clinical trials for primary glomerular diseases, such as focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). However, in early 2023, Angion Biomedica suspended the clinical development of its pipeline, including ANG-3070, following a merger agreement with Elicio Therapeutics.
