Overview

Ansufaxine (LY03012) is an orally administered small molecule triple reuptake inhibitor (SNDRI) being developed by Shandong Luye Pharmaceutical. It is designed to inhibit the reuptake of serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine, which are key neurotransmitters involved in the descending pain inhibitory system. By increasing the synaptic levels of these monoamines, ansufaxine aims to provide analgesic effects for chronic pain conditions such as diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain, fibromyalgia, and osteoarthritis. As of recent clinical trial registries, it is being evaluated in Phase 1/2 studies for safety, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary efficacy.
