Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Anthrax Vaccine SDI is a solid-dose vaccine formulation developed by Glide Technologies in collaboration with Pfenex for the prevention of anthrax. The vaccine utilizes Glide's proprietary Solid Dose Injector (SDI) technology, which enables needle-free subcutaneous administration of the drug in a solid format. This approach is designed to enhance the stability of the vaccine, potentially removing the requirement for a cold chain during storage and distribution. The project was developed under a subcontract from Pfenex, aiming to leverage Pfenex's recombinant protein expression technology with Glide's delivery system to create a more stable and easily administered anthrax vaccine.
