Overview
Anti-5T4 CAR-raNK cells is an investigational allogeneic cell therapy consisting of natural killer (NK) cells engineered to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting the trophoblast glycoprotein (5T4/TPBG). Developed by Shanghai East Hospital, this "ready-to-use" (raNK) therapy is designed to treat locally advanced or metastatic solid tumors that overexpress the 5T4 oncofetal antigen. The 5T4 antigen is highly expressed in various cancers but has limited presence in normal tissues, providing a selective target for immunotherapy. The therapy is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation to assess safety, tolerability, and initial efficacy.
