Overview

Anti-ALPP CAR-T cells is an investigational autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by Xinqiao Hospital of Chongqing for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. The therapy involves the genetic modification of a patient's own T cells using a retroviral vector to express a CAR that specifically targets alkaline phosphatase, placental (ALPP), a tumor-associated antigen. Following ex vivo expansion, the engineered cells are reinfused into the patient after a lymphodepleting conditioning regimen of cyclophosphamide and fludarabine. The treatment aims to induce T-cell mediated destruction of ALPP-expressing cancer cells and is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1/2 clinical trial.
