Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Anti-asialo-GM1 antibody is a rabbit polyclonal antibody that targets the neutral glycosphingolipid asialo-GM1 (gangliotetraosylceramide), which is highly expressed on the surface of natural killer (NK) cells, as well as other immune cells such as basophils, NKT cells, and subsets of T cells. It is widely used as a research-use-only (RUO) laboratory reagent to selectively deplete conventional NK cells in vivo in animal models (such as mice and rats) to study the role of NK cells in tumor metastasis, viral infections, and immune responses. The antibody is commercially produced by vendors such as Fujifilm Wako Pure Chemical and BioLegend.
