Overview

Anti-BCMA CAR-T is a type of adoptive cell therapy that involves genetically engineering a patient's own T cells to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) specifically designed to recognize and bind to B-cell Maturation Antigen (BCMA). BCMA is a protein commonly found on the surface of multiple myeloma cells and plasma cell leukemia cells. Once infused back into the patient, these modified CAR-T cells can identify and eliminate BCMA-expressing cancer cells, offering a targeted approach to treating hematological malignancies. This therapy has shown significant promise in patients with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma and is being investigated for other BCMA-positive tumors.
