Overview

anti-BCMA CAR-T (Shenzhen Geno-Immune Medical Institute) is an autologous or allogeneic chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA; TNFRSF17), a protein highly expressed on the surface of malignant plasma cells in multiple myeloma and plasmacytoma. Developed by the Shenzhen Geno-Immune Medical Institute (GIMI), the CAR construct features a multi-domain intracellular signaling architecture comprising CD28, CD27, and CD3ζ to optimize T-cell activation, proliferation, and persistence. The therapy is currently being evaluated in Phase 1/2 clinical trials (e.g., NCT06429150, NCT03271632) as both a standalone treatment and as part of a multi-target CAR-T strategy, often combined with anti-GPRC5D CAR-T cells, to address high-risk disease and prevent antigen-escape-mediated relapse.
