Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Anti-BCMA-CAR2 is a second-generation chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy approved by the US FDA for the treatment of multiple myeloma. This cell therapy involves engineering a patient's T cells to express a CAR that specifically targets B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA), a protein found on the surface of malignant plasma cells. The engineered T cells then recognize and eliminate these malignant BCMA-expressing cells.
