Anti-BCMA-CAR3 is a third-generation chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy designed for the treatment of multiple myeloma. This investigational cell therapy targets B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) expressed on malignant plasma cells. The CAR construct features a fully human single-chain variable fragment (scFv) specific for BCMA, a CD8 hinge region, a CD28 transmembrane domain, and two co-stimulatory domains (CD28 and 4-1BB) alongside the CD3ζ signaling domain (28BBζ). Developed using lentiviral technology, anti-BCMA-CAR3 T cells are engineered to exhibit enhanced cytotoxic activity against BCMA-expressing cells compared to second-generation CAR T cells.
