Overview

Anti-canine-IgE is an antibody designed to target canine Immunoglobulin E (IgE). In an experimental setting, intradermal injections of this antibody in dogs are used to induce acute IgE-mediated late phase reactions, which serve as a model for naturally occurring atopic dermatitis in both canines and humans. The induced lesions exhibit significant upregulation of pro-inflammatory, T helper-1/IFNγ, and Th2 genes, as well as activation of JAK-STAT, histamine, IL-4, and IL-13 signaling pathways.
