Overview
Anti-CCL14 blocking antibody is a monoclonal or polyclonal antibody designed to bind and neutralize chemokine ligand 14 (CCL14). CCL14 is a chemotactic cytokine and a ligand for the CCR1 receptor, which has been implicated as a pro-fibrotic stimulus in the progression of chronic kidney disease (CKD). By blocking CCL14, the antibody inhibits the CCL14/CCR1/GATA2 signaling pathway, leading to reduced expression of extracellular matrix proteins such as collagen IV and fibronectin, and preventing apoptosis in tubular epithelial cells. It is primarily utilized as a research reagent to investigate the pathophysiological role of CCL14 in kidney injury and fibrosis.
