This anti-CD19 chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy is an investigational autologous cell therapy developed by the Lu Daopei Institute of Hematology in partnership with Kecellitics Biotech. The therapy utilizes T cells harvested from a patient, which are then genetically modified to express a CAR targeting the CD19 antigen, a protein consistently expressed on the surface of B-lineage cells. These engineered cells are expanded ex vivo and re-infused into the patient to identify and eliminate CD19-positive malignant cells. It is currently being evaluated for the treatment of B-cell leukemia, particularly in patients with relapsed or refractory disease.
