CAR-T cells targeting CD19 are an autologous or allogeneic cell therapy consisting of T cells genetically engineered to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) specific for the B-lymphocyte antigen CD19. CD19 is a transmembrane protein widely expressed on the surface of nearly all B-cell lineage cells, making it a primary target for treating B-cell malignancies. Upon binding to CD19-positive tumor cells, the CAR-T cells undergo activation, proliferation, and exert cytotoxic effects through the release of perforins and granzymes.
