This anti-CD22 CAR-T cell therapy is an autologous cell-based immunotherapy developed by the Lu Daopei Institute of Hematology in collaboration with Kecellitics Biotech. The therapy involves genetically engineering a patient's own T cells to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) specifically designed to recognize and bind to the B-lymphocyte antigen CD22, a surface protein highly expressed in B-cell lineage malignancies. Upon binding to CD22-positive cells, the CAR-T cells undergo activation and expansion, leading to the targeted destruction of malignant B cells. This therapy is primarily investigated for the treatment of relapsed or refractory B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL), particularly in patients who have failed or relapsed after CD19-targeted CAR-T therapies, providing a critical alternative for overcoming antigen escape.
