Overview

Anti-CD38 CAR-T cells (Zhujiang Hospital) is an investigational chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy being developed by Zhujiang Hospital for the treatment of relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The therapy involves genetically modifying a patient's own T cells to express a CAR that specifically recognizes and binds to CD38, a glycoprotein frequently expressed on the surface of AML blasts. Upon binding to CD38, the CAR-T cells are activated to exert cytotoxic effects against the leukemic cells. This specific therapy is part of a broader clinical study evaluating multiple CAR-T targets (including CD33, CD56, and CD123) to address the heterogeneity of AML.
