Overview

Anti-CD99 scFv is a human single-chain variable fragment (scFv) designed to target the CD99 surface protein, which is frequently overexpressed in hematological malignancies, including acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and acute lymphoid leukemia (ALL). Developed by researchers at the University of Southern California, this therapeutic candidate was engineered by inserting the CD99 scFv DNA sequence into a pFUSE vector (pATL103-CD99 scFv) and expressed in Expi293 cells. Preclinical studies demonstrate that the scFv binds with high affinity to CD99-positive AML cells, significantly reducing cell viability and colony-forming ability in vitro. In vivo experiments using AML xenograft mouse models have shown that intravenous administration of the anti-CD99 scFv leads to a significant reduction in leukemia engraftment within the bone marrow.
