Overview

anti-CDCP1 antibody Ab3 is a monoclonal antibody directed against the extracellular domain of CUB domain-containing protein 1 (CDCP1), a cell surface glycoprotein that is frequently overexpressed in various malignancies, including prostate and lung cancers. Identified through an image-based 3D phenotypic screen of primary tumor models (as described in PMID: 26227951), Ab3 functions as an antagonist that inhibits the phosphorylation of CDCP1. This inhibition blocks the activation of downstream oncogenic signaling pathways, most notably the recruitment and activation of Src-family kinases, which are drivers of tumor cell migration, invasion, and survival. In preclinical studies, Ab3 has demonstrated the ability to suppress tumor growth and metastasis, particularly in prostate cancer models such as PC-3 cells.
