Overview

Anti-CDH17 CAR-T cells is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting Cadherin-17 (CDH17), a calcium-dependent cell adhesion protein frequently overexpressed in gastrointestinal cancers and other solid tumors. Developed by the 920th Hospital of Joint Logistics Support Force of the People's Liberation Army of China in collaboration with Guangzhou Bio-gene Technology, the therapy involves the genetic modification of a patient's own T cells to express a CAR specific for CDH17. Upon infusion following lymphodepleting chemotherapy with fludarabine and cyclophosphamide, these modified T cells are designed to recognize and eliminate CDH17-expressing tumor cells. It is currently being evaluated in Phase I clinical trials for patients with advanced CDH17-positive solid tumors who have exhausted standard treatment options.
