anti-CEA-Alexa 555 is a fluorescently labeled monoclonal antibody conjugate designed for the real-time detection and visualization of tumors expressing Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CEA). The agent consists of a monoclonal antibody targeting CEA covalently conjugated to the Alexa Fluor 555 fluorophore, which provides a stable and bright fluorescence signal in the orange-red spectrum. Developed for applications in fluorescence-guided surgery (FGS) and diagnostic laparoscopy, it enables the identification of primary tumors and sub-millimeter metastatic lesions that might be invisible under standard white-light illumination. Preclinical studies in pancreatic cancer models have demonstrated its utility in improving surgical navigation and ensuring more complete resection of malignant tissues by providing high-contrast imaging of tumor margins.
