Overview

Anti-CEA CAR-T (Ruijin Hospital) is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to target the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), a glycoprotein frequently overexpressed in colorectal tumors. Developed by Ruijin Hospital, this cell-based immunotherapy involves genetically modifying a patient's own T cells to express a CAR that recognizes and binds to CEA-expressing cancer cells. It is currently being evaluated in an Early Phase 1 clinical trial (NCT05240950) aimed at preventing postoperative recurrence and metastasis in patients with stage III colorectal cancer or those with colorectal cancer liver metastases. The therapy is administered in a dose-escalating manner to determine safety and optimal dosage for prolonging relapse-free survival.
