Overview

Anti-CEA-CAR-T cell is a type of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to target and eliminate cancer cells that express Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CEA). CEA is a glycoprotein highly expressed in various carcinomas, including colorectal, pancreatic, gastric, breast, non-small cell lung, ovarian, and endometrial cancers. This cell therapy involves genetically engineering a patient's own T cells to express a CAR that specifically recognizes CEA on the surface of tumor cells. Upon re-infusion, these modified T cells bind to CEA-positive cancer cells, leading to their destruction through the release of cytotoxic molecules and inflammatory cytokines. The therapy is administered via intravenous injection.
